Language Glyph Chooser

When no colour in a glyph reaches 3:1 against the tab, the extension draws a 0.5 px edge around it, and on thin glyphs that edge looks wrong. Each tab below is one file-type group. Every row shows an open-licence icon in JupyterLab's light and dark themes, in a tab bar and in the file browser. The edge is drawn by the extension's own rule.

Artwork from the Iconify catalogue (api.iconify.design), fetched 2026-10-17. Contrast is computed with src/contrast.ts from the extension against JupyterLab 4.x theme colours: light tabs #ffffff and #eeeeee, dark tabs #212121 and #424242. The tabs and rows are rebuilt from JupyterLab's stylesheets; they are not screenshots of the running lab. Descriptions and recommendations come from one research agent per group.
